Medigo
Working individuals and people with acute illnesses often struggle to access medication—whether due to inconvenient pharmacy hours or long distances, which are especially problematic in rural areas. Our product is specifically aimed at people with fixed working hours or those who need medication on short notice due to acute illness.
Another important factor is health insurance: the process of obtaining and paying for medication often varies depending on whether someone is privately or publicly insured.

Technologie
Our research revealed that 3D-printed medication is a major area of innovation. While still in its early stages in Germany, other countries are already applying this technology—like the U.S., where a 3D-printed epilepsy drug has been approved since 2015. Since our project aims to reflect the future of healthcare, we integrated this technology into our concept.
Concept

We offer a digital communication and ordering platform designed for working individuals or those with acute illnesses, enabling faster and easier access to medication. The platform connects patients, doctors, pharmacies, and health insurers in one central space to manage prescriptions and essential documents efficiently. As a user, I receive a notification when my doctor issues a new e-prescription.

I can redeem it directly in the app and choose either a local pharmacy, drugstore, or even a 3D printer for pickup. After paying through the app, I simply show a QR code to collect my medication. In our concept, we chose a 3D printer to allow flexible, self-selected pickup times—eliminating dependence on store hours and offering maximum convenience. The emergency use case is illustrated in the video below.
