Idea
For this reason, we’ve made it our mission to develop an app—with an optional smart patch feature—that supports users in first aid situations. Using just the phone’s camera, the app will assess the condition of the affected person and provide tailored step-by-step first aid instructions based on the data.
Research
To identify our use case, we analyzed accident statistics and surveyed both laypeople and professional first responders. These insights guided the development of an app—with an optional smart patch—that provides targeted first aid support.
Technology
The technology we use is not fictional, it already exists. For example, Binah has developed software that measures vital signs using a webcam or smartphone camera by analyzing facial features like the temples to detect heart rate and other key vitals. This grounds our app in real-world technology and makes its application feasible.
Solution
We also envision an optional smart patch that users can purchase to measure additional vital signs. This technology already exists developed by a company called Accensors and can detect precise values like blood and mineral levels in sweat, without the need for needles. This enables more accurate diagnostics in emergencies.
